Malaysia as a Commonwealth country, adopted English Common Law into our legal system.

⚖️ One branch of English Common Law is Tort Law.

👩‍⚖️ Tort law is a civil wrong in which an individual is compensated for the damages that they have suffered from.

💰 The definition is as such, as tort law is usually about the monetary compensation of the issue.

💡 Fun fact, the word Tort itself was derived from Latin, meaning twisted or wrong.

👉 Examples of tort law are; defamation, negligence and trespass.
