CYBER BULLIED?

Do you know that 3 in 10 young people are cyber bullied every 24 hours?

👓 Based on U-Report Malaysia’s Statistics, 28% of over 6000 young people in Malaysia has responded in a poll that have been a victim of online bullying, and almost HALF of them had experienced this on online games, private messaging and social media apps including:

😰It’s not shocking therefore that Malaysia ranked SECOND in Asia for cyberbullying.

👩‍⚖️👨‍⚖️To curb this phenomenon, Section 233(1)(b) of the Communication and Multimedia Act 1998 (Act 588) states that any person who initiates a communication with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any person at any number or electronic address commits AN OFFENCE which carries a punishment to a fine not exceeding RM50,000 or imprisonment not exceeding one year, or both.
